Memorial services for Margie Merritt Dent, 80, of Roberta will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at Lizella Baptist Church. Burial will be private. Margie passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Pine Pointe Hospice.
She was a member of Lizella Baptist Church, an axillary member of the Gideons International and was a retired schoolteacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell Merritt and Maggie Massengale.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Otha Dent of Roberta; three sons, Gregory Dent of Roberta, Kelly Dent (Robin) of Locust Grove and Michael Dent (Victoria) of Lake Wylie, SC; four grandchildren, Adam Dent of McDonough, Rachel Dent of Locust Grove, Christian Dent of Locust Grove and Emma Dent of Lake Wylie SC.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lizella Baptist Church or Gideons International.
